Kijiyama Traditional Vintage Kokeshi 9-1/2"

Vintage kijiyama style kokeshi measuring 9-1/2" tall with a diamter of 1-3/4". Kijiyama kokeshi are created from one piece of wood with a defined neck and are signed on the back. This lovely lady wears a kimono and an apron with chrysanthemums. She has one 1/4" dent/nick on her right side and most of her green paint has faded. Over the years, the colors do tend to fade. As with the textiles, the colors that will fade first are the ones with blue in them -- green, purple, etc.
