NAME: Kijiyama traditional Japanese kokeshi

MAKER: Inoue*

SIZE: 10" (25.2cm)

CONDITION: Small dent on the back and left hair tuft. There are 4 vertical and a curved hairline crack on the back and a semi-circle and smaller curved crack on the back of the head as well as one across the top of the head. No doubt it's some kind of wood flaw. A large light spot on the lower back and some other small light spots further up may be water spots but they disappear when you apply a good wood oil/wax to the areas.

NOTES: *Inoue is the correct family name but the given name does not translate properly. I have seen it once stated as Myoubei but cannot confirm if this is correct. I believe that he is a self-taught Kijiyama artist.
