NAME: Keshi Ningyo of the Jidai Matsuri (festival) parade in Kyoto.

SIZE: The dolls are around 5/8" tall (some variations). The box measures 13-5/8" long x 1-3/4" deep x 1-13/16" high.

CONDITION: Mid age set (50's-70's), 26 figures including two on horses. COMPLETE.

The banners may have a little fraying. The figure just behind the large drum is broken and part of his left side and back is missing (see picture).

NOTES: Jidai Matsuri is held on October 22nd is one of the three big festivals held in Kyoto every year. It is called the "Festival of Ages" and has about 2,000 participants dressed in costumes from most periods in Japanese history as well as historic figures. It celebrates the anniversary of the founding of Kyoto.
