NAME: Japanese ema or prayer board with a white tiger, representing the "Year of the Tiger".

SIZE: Height 3-11/16" (9.5cm) to the top point, 6" (15.2cm) at the longest point

CONDITION: Some wood age spots and light scratches. A corner on the back of the board has some small bug(?) damage. A back side edge also has multiple small dents.

NOTES: An ema board or prayer board is a method by which people make wishes, prayers or thanks to the dieties by writing it down on the board and hanging it at a shrine. The art work traditionally depicts the Zodiac animals, historic stories, folklore characters and stories, etc., but modern characters are also included now.
