NAME: Japanese ema or prayer board with two dogs wearing bells, representing the "Year of the Dog"

SIZE: Height 3-1/4" (5.5cm) to the top point, 5-7/8" (14.1cm) at the widest point

CONDITION: Light scratch on the front, medium sized dent and light scratches on the back.

NOTES: An ema board or prayer board is a method by which people make wishes, prayers or thanks to the dieties by writing it down on the board and hanging it at a shrine. The art work traditionally depicts the Zodiac animals, historic stories, folklore characters and stories, etc., but modern characters are also included now.
