NAME: Japanese ema or prayer board with a sheep, representing "Year of the Sheep".

SIZE: Height 3-3/8" (8.7cm) to the top point, 5-9/16" (14.3cm) long

CONDITION: Quite a few small dents near the top of the board and on the left corner/side. Few dings on the back.

NOTES: An ema board or prayer board is a method by which people make wishes, prayers or thanks to the dieties by writing it down on the board and hanging it at a shrine. The art work traditionally depicts the Zodiac animals, historic stories, folklore characters and stories, etc., but modern characters are also included now.
