Artistic kokeshi of a Geisha sitting by a lamp. Although both the Geisha and Maiko (apprentice) wear their kimono with the nape of the neck exposed, the Geisha kimono is quieter and more refined. When not wearing the white makeup, Geisha wear their hair in a simple bun with only a few pins and a simple comb. The height of this doll is 4-7/8" and has some green paint fading and bleeding. Unique doll, uniquely posed.
