Included with the book will be a list of all the maker's names in ENGLISH!!!!

DETAILS: Year of publication, 2005. The book contains all of the kokeshi craftsmen active during the year 2005. Some of the artists, unfortunately, have passed since then.

The size is 5-3/4 x 4-1/8" and contains 187 numbered pages.

Each maker has his/her picture as well as two samples of their work. A unique feature of this book is that the authors personally interviewed all of the craftspeople.

CONDITION: New. The open book in the picture is a much used house copy. Your copy will be mint and unopened.

NOTES: The list of names in English has the page number with the maker's family name, followed by a comma and the given name.

Please understand that Japanese does not translate to English perfectly. One person may translate a "z" another may say it's "j" or "ou" and "o", etc. Also, some names can be read a couple of ways. This list, however, will be as close as we will get to "perfect" and helpful as it was translated by Yajiro kokeshi craftsman, Hideyuki Sato of Kijidokoro-Sato.

Did you ever wonder why this was not done before? It is not difficult if you can read Japanese. Although I have seen this book, without the English names sell for $79.99 elsewhere, I have decided to stick to a normal U.S. book markup based on my costs. (It isn't that much and part of that will be sent as a gift for the translator).
