NAME: Japanese creative kokeshi

SIZE: 11-5/8" (29.5cm)

CONDITION: A few minor dents, two to the right of the flower and one above. The brows are a little faded and a few chips of paint missing from the center of the doll's head on top. There are many fine hairline cracks extending out from the middle of the wood on both the top and bottom, which is off center of the middle of the head. It is the wood's natural tendency to crack from the center out. Under normal living conditions, this should not worsen. I think these dolls were ill stored for a while and the wood dried out on a few of the dolls.

NOTES: This is 1 of 10 dolls that I believe to be part of a series made by female artists. The dolls are signed by their given names only and there are 4 different artist.
