NAME: Creative Japanese wooden kokeshi.
MAKER: May be signed on the lower right front side
SIZE: 13-3/4" (35cm), weight is almost 2-1/2 pounds
CONDITION: Few minor dents and a small ding by the right brow. The head has a large crack on the left side. Wood has a natural tendency to crack from the center out and the center of the wood looks like the center of the head. Although the wood is dried, many artists will not use this point as the center of the head for this reason.
NOTES: Dated on the bottom September 24, 1995 by an owner rather than the artist.
