Cell Phone Strap with Japanese Zodiac Rooster Charm

Cell phone strap with Japanese Zodiac ceramic rooster charm, new old stock, mint in bag.

The rooster measures approximately 1" x 1" and the string or strap is about 3-1/2". Two bells are attached.

Made by Yakushigama, an old kiln in Seto City, known for it's animals, including maneki neko (beckoning cat) and the zodiac animals. Some are marked with a price of 472 yen, (equivalent to US $6.29 1/1/2012).

The original purpose was probably a strap for a cell phone as that's very popular in Japan but can be attached to a camera, keys, anything. Not recommended for young children as it is ceramic and it has small parts.
